An important goal of the Master Gardener program is to answer the public's questions about gardening or other horticulture issues using University research-based information. Trade shows, community events, fairs, farmers' markets and garden centers are common venues for this service. Popular events for an Ask a Master Gardener booth include our Spring and Fall Plant sale, the Spring Home and Garden Show, Earth and Arbor Day events, and various farmers' markets held a Wesleyan College, Mulberry Street, and others.

Master Gardener Extension Volunteers are usually available to give helpful information or advice about gardening, tree care, indoor and outdoor pests, environmental topics, or help you identify a plant. If they don't know the answer, they will find the answer through the UGA publication library and UGA Extension specialists.

Since Master Gardeners are volunteers, they cannot personally receive fees for an ask a Master Gardener booth. If you would like an Ask a Master Gardener booth at your next event, please contact one of the us by email at: askamg@mgcg.org. It is recommended that you schedule your request at least six weeks in advance of the event.
