2023 Scholarship Winners
Monserrat Tejeda-Munoz – Sylvie Utick Academic Scholarship
Monserrat attended Peach Co. High School where she was an honor graduate. She took multiple advanced courses as well as dual enrolled at Middle Georgia State. She was active in several extracurricular activities such as Health Occupations, Beta Club, Spanish club, tennis and was a cheerleader. Monserrat will be attending Mercer University where she plans to major in biology and pursue a career as an anesthesiologist.
Benjamin Brown – High School Academic Scholarship
Benjamin attended the Academy for Classical Education in Macon. He took multiple AP courses and received several awards for his academics. He was active in 4-H, Bibb Co. Extension, and is an Eagle Scout. Benjamin was a member of the marching, concert, and jazz bands at ACE. He will be attending the University of Georgia with the desire to pursue biological and/or environmental engineer.
Hannah Koppel – High School Academic Scholarship
Hannah attended Houston Co. High School where she was an honor graduate. She took multiple advanced courses as well as dual enrolled at Middle Georgia State. Hannah was active in Beta Club, Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, Debate team and was a member of the band. She will be attending Georgia Institute of Technology to pursue a career as a pediatric neurologist.
Dorothy Paige Paschal – College Jr/Sr Academic Scholarship
Dorothy currently attends the University of Georgia where she is scheduled to complete her Bachelors this fall. She is majoring in Animal Science with an emphasis on Production and Management. At UGA Dorothy is involved in Young Farmers and Ranchers, Block & Bridle, and the Mentor program. Dorothy is from Perry and was the Sylvie Utick Scholarship winner as a high school senior.
